That said, I would LOVE the option to switch out the case back with a steel hippocampus image case back. Once again this is a beautiful, workhorse movement that is proudly displayed through a display caseback on previous Seamaster 300 models. But Omega opted again here for a closed caseback. Instead we get a deep engraving of Poseidon, much the same as on the Diver 300M Summer Blue. This keeps in track with the 2018 update that saw a size increase from 41mm, but added a sapphire caseback - Which peculiarly Omega didn’t use on this watch. We actually love that you can see the movement the Seamaster now, even if the thickness is increased a .
THE ANIMATED CASEBACK. The famous opening sequence, featuring Bond in silhouette and spinning gun barrel, plays out on the caseback, beneath a sapphire decorated with micro-structured metallisation. The “moiré” effect animation is linked to the spinning of the lollipop seconds hand, so the action never stops. Omega also holds a patent for this high-end detail. After proper adjustment of the length of the bracelet, the Seamaster 300 is very comfortable to wear from morning to night. Movement.
